           The City of Seminole is located towards the western coast of the Tampa bay area.  Nestled between the city of Pinellas Park to the east and the Gulf Beaches to the west, Seminole is conveniently located close to the sunny coast of the Gulf of Mexico and neighboring cities including St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Madeira Beach, Treasure Island, and Largo.  In addition, Seminole is only 24 miles west of Tampa's business district.  Recent studies by the University of Florida's Bureau of Economic and Business Research suggests that the fastest growing age group for Seminole and its county of Pinellas is 25-44 years old.  The median single family home value in the city of Seminole is $185,000 and there is a nice variety of homes, some built in the 1940s and others are brand new like those being built in the community of Thurston Groves.  Seminole Isles is another community being developed offering new condominiums and town houses.  If you prefer a larger home with one half acre of land or more with room for horses, Seminole offers that as well.  The majority of the land in Seminole sits on a higher elevation than most other parts of Pinellas County and the area is plotted with K-12 public and private schools, and St. Petersburg College has a regional branch in the City of Seminole.
